“Om Kutir is a yoga and wellness space in Brentwood; fully dedicated to the practice of yoga for all the yoga seekers and keen learners. This space is a constant reminder of collective energy and well-being.

Ankita is the founder of Om Kutir. She has done her intensive yoga sadhna to be able to share the gift of yoga. She is a certified yoga teacher of a lineage that comes from some of the most influential gurus of yoga; an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher ERYT 500 from Yoga Alliance, USA. She has also experienced many special trainings in restorative yoga, pranayama, prenatal yoga, women’s health & yogic lifestyle and senior yoga. Being able to learn yoga from some of the most finest profound teachers has been her light in her yoga journey. With her dedicated yoga sadhana, she has been blessed with the title of ‘Yoga Siromani’ (Jewel of Yoga), ‘Yoga Bhaskara’ and ‘Yoga Acharya’ (Master of Yoga).

She shifted from a hectic corporate life to the full-time teaching and practice of yoga and has never looked back. She has been teaching for more than a decade now.

In her words,

“Teaching yoga is spiritual for me. It’s a daily cleansing for me and it took me a few years to realise this. The moment I show up for teaching, my world undergoes a transformation. I am able to release my negative patterns, my mood, my restlessness, my tiredness, my day, my feelings, my caught up emotions. I feel free. I feel like serving & sharing and keeping the needs of my practitioners above mine just feels like the most perfect thing to do when I am teaching. I feel I am a better person when I am teaching. And most importantly, I get this clarity that there is nowhere else I would rather be. This is it. Om Tat Sat!!”
