I suggest you to just click on the link given by Anthony Jose in the previous response and then create Media recovery disk and then perform the Start up repair.

Follow the same steps for start up repair given by Anthony Jose and check if you are able to perform the troubleshooting steps. You don’t have to go to Safe mode to create the Media recovery disk. Yes, I’ve tried all of this already. When the computer tries to boot from the CD the disk spins and acts like it is going to proceed Then I have to go through a minute system restore which uninstalls many past updates and then I can log into my administrator account and THEN switch into my regular user profile.

I tried the start-up disk on an old Win 7 laptop and it has the same problem I really can’t endure this Windows 10 failure. Is my only alternative to wipe my system and start over?? I am a very experienced person with computers and programming and this has me completely stumped. Or is it possible to just go back to Windows 8. You may install all the pending updates including the November update and check if the issue gets resolved.

We would suggest you to visit the computer manufacturer website and check for the latest BIOS and chipset driver and install it. You may also refer to the below link to download and install Windows 10 ISO. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

In reply to A. User’s post on November 11, I got back in by logging in on my administrator account and “undoing” the most recent updates through system restore. I then switched back to the normal user account but am afraid to activate the updates again since it may likely produce the same lockout problem.

In reply to deleted message. The “Cumulative Update” seems to install and then gives me a login screen. When I log in then the system freezes the little spinner thing just stops. The only way I can access the machine is to go through an elaborate restore and then put off letting the cumulative update install. In reply to O C Reporter’s post on November 12, Also followed all the instructions in the previous post The machine will not allow me to create the media recovery or ISO file in safe mode.

Start recovery also failed. Still down. Hello, We appreciate your time and effort for getting back to us. Did you try to create the Media recovery disk without getting into the safe mode? Let us know the status. We will be glad to assist you further. Thank You. User’s post on November 14, Start up repair — failed troubleshooting in recovery mode — “Windows was not able to repair” Successfully created recovery disk finally and it looked hopeful with additional installs apparently but still fails at log-in page I type in password Once I get back operating a whole set of update downloads queue up and then I have to defer them and never turn off my machine so the log-in failure loop happens again.

In reply to O C Reporter’s post on November 14, Hello, You may install all the pending updates including the November update and check if the issue gets resolved. I had a similar situation except the spinner just kept spinning. I’ve been making image copies of the OS so that I don’t have to start the upgrade process ever again.

As a result my 3 terabyte USB backup drive became full and I ignored the status warning several days ago. I removed the USB drive during a reboot and the boot completed normally. So, removing your USB devices might help you get logged in. Just a thought. It hangs then if I do a soft boot it starts win10 started when last update. This site in other languages x.
